Frequently Asked Questions
My dog has tried chews, powders, and supplements before. None of them worked. Why would this be different?
Most collagen supplements come in chew or powder form. The problem isn't the ingredients. It's that your dog's body only absorbs about 20–30% of what's in a chew. The rest passes straight through. Our liquid formula uses hydrolyzed collagen peptides that absorb at up to 98%. Your dog is finally getting what the label says they're getting.
How is this different from Apoquel or Cytopoint?
Those medications suppress your dog's immune response to stop the itch. They work, but they don't fix what's causing it. When you stop, the scratching comes back because the underlying skin issue is still there. Our collagen provides the raw materials your dog's body needs to rebuild and hydrate the skin itself. It addresses the source, not just the symptom.
How long until I see results?
Most owners notice a change in coat quality within 2–3 weeks. Scratching typically starts decreasing around weeks 3–4. Dogs with more severe skin issues may take 6–8 weeks for noticeable improvement. The first couple weeks can look like nothing is happening. That's normal. The repair starts beneath the surface before you see it on the outside.
Can I give this alongside my dog's current medications?
Yes. There's nothing in this formula that interferes with Apoquel, Cytopoint, steroids, Benadryl, or antibiotics. Many owners start this while their dog is still on medication, then work with their vet to reassess as the skin improves.
My dog spits out every supplement I've tried. Will they actually take this?
It's a tasteless liquid. One dropper into their food, wet or dry, and most dogs don't notice it's there. No chewing, no fighting, no hiding pills in cheese.
Your collagen comes from chicken and beef sources. My dog has food allergies. Is that a concern?
This is worth knowing. Our collagen is sourced from bovine, porcine, and hydrolyzed chicken collagen. The hydrolysis process breaks the proteins down into very small peptides, which significantly reduces allergenic potential. These are not intact chicken or beef proteins. However, if your dog has a confirmed, vet-diagnosed allergy specifically to chicken or beef protein, talk to your vet before starting. For dogs with environmental allergies or general skin issues, which is the vast majority of scratching dogs, this is not a concern.
This is less expensive than other options. Is the quality lower?
No. We don't spend on subscription platforms, influencer deals, or vet endorsement programs, so you're not paying for that. The formula contains all three collagen types plus hyaluronic acid in a liquid that absorbs at up to 98%. You're paying for the product, not the marketing around it.
What if it doesn't work for my dog?
Try it for 90 days. If you don't see improvement in scratching, skin, or coat, we'll give you a full refund. No form, no restocking fee, no argument.
